Phish is a gathering of four minds that together can create some sublime music... and melt your brain with one note, a bang, or a bend.  

It is a mindset, a vacation, a whisper loudened, and pure elation.

It's being really dehydrated at 1am, and while walking back, you find a guy making grilled cheese with his girlfriend and his dog, and it's the conversation that follows...

"how was the show man?"
"it was great... they really ripped on......"

Phish has limitless notions of how to play and thoughtless renditions of songs already done.

I, personally, think phish plays other bands' songs much better than their own, sometimes.

In a word, phish is.

And nothing will change its course but its own heart, groove, lungs, and soul... and that is a change for which we're all still waiting.
