We arrive at the reynolds coliseum parking lot, park on the first level of the parking garage, and head down to shakedown st. to rustle up some boomers (none of us had ever eaten mushies before). We pick up a phat sack from some kind sister. It was still early and we wanted to save our first trip for the show, so we bought couple of dank brews, went back to my car, broke out the guitars, and jammed for a bit.

After a couple of tunes we decide to hop in the car and smoke a blunt before we head inside. So we are sitting in the car puffin away, lovin life. I was in the driver's seat, my one buddy in shotgun, and my other buddy in the back seat with his beer resting between his legs.

We are about halfway through our blunt when, out of the corner of my eye, I see 4 cops on the passenger side of my car. I drop the blunt in my cup of beer just as one of the cops opens the rear passenger side door. He looks at my buddy in the back blankly and says "no beer". My buddy jumps out and complies by pouring out his beer behind the car.

The lead cop rests one arm on top of the door, the other on the roof, leans his head in, takes a big whiff and asks, "what are you guys smokin' in there?" I am about to shit my pants when I instinctively grabbed my pack of smokes, held them up, and said "camel lights sir, you want one?" the police officers laughed and walked away.

We gathered ourselves, salvaged the rest of the blunt, went inside and tripped our balls off at one of the most underrated shows of that tour. Unfortunately my luck with cops has since run out. But that was the greatest day of my high school career.
