Now, this show was the most wishy-washy feeling I had ever had - nervous and very excited - nervous because for the first time I was trying to sneak something into a show, and excited because it was fucking phish people. 

Anyways, me and my friends made it up to the front check area and were stopped by two police officers who demanded to see tickets.  I almost lost my shit when I couldn't find it, but luckily I did, and we made our way to the pat-down area. We were walking in and everything seemed to be going fine, until this kid who was right in front of me (who made it past the pat-down, might I add) dropped his piece from his arm and tried to walk away. 

The guard grabbed him and said, "hey now, lookie what we got here."  He then pulled the kid to the side and said to him, "listen, are you going to use this tonight? (the kid didn't respond) LISTEN, ARE YOU GOING TO USE THIS TONIGHT!?!" This kid was freaking out, and so was I.  

Some people turned around and left, but the kid looked up at the security guard and said that he wasn't planning on it. The guard handed it back to him and said have a nice show...  Now I thought I was in the clear, but as I walked in, he stopped and thoroughly patted me down. Since I only had some broken piece of glass he couldn't feel it.

Then, when he couldn't find anything, he told me to turn my pockets out...  I almost shit.  Then he grabbed at my arm, looked in my eyes, and told me to have a nice show.  I was this close to losing my shit, but nowadays I look back and think that guard was eighteen once. While he was just doing his job, he liked to phuck around with some people. The show as awesome and we had no more troubles with the law for the rest of the week.
