PholkTales: Random Acts of Kindness
Well, this story might not be as elaborate as some others that I've read, but I thought it was certainly worth mentioning. It was about 1:30 PM yesterday as I was completing my list of "to do" items on my day off when it happened. I was en route to get a haircut, listening to the 5-22-00 Wolfman's Brother, when I slowed down and stopped at a red light. I was rocking out hard with the windows down when I noticed a strange woman to my left in a large SUV staring at me.

That being nothing new, because I rock out all the time regardless of who's watching or listening, I shrugged it off as nothing. Anyway, just as the light turned green, I heard a faint "Hey" over the loud jam I had going on inside my Jeep. I looked over my left shoulder and hit the pause button on my stereo as I saw a curious look on the SUV woman's face. She said "Thanks for the 2 minutes of great Phish music...you just made my day!"

At that moment, we parted ways as I forked right and she forked left. As I drove for the next few minutes, I couldn't get the smile off my face...thinking...someone other than me, in all this traffic, can appreciate the boys like I can! I might have made her day, but in turn, she made mine! For just those two minutes...she was truly...a Slave to the Traffic Light!
