PholkTales: Random Acts of Kindness
I had been to many shows prior to the Blossom Amph. show in Summer '00 (I think), but I had been recently divorced and thus sad/depressed at having lost my wife and domestic situation. I had fortunately worked out a joint custody arrangement with my ex wife.

I brought my daughter to the show with a friend of mine and we got to the lot pretty early in order to relax and sell some Gatorade and water and whatever. My daughter was drop-jawed looking at all these colorful phish fans. The look in her eyes was so beautiful , that discovery of something unusual and fun .

A gaggle of silly phish girls approached and offered my daughter some bead necklaces for free and put them on her. My daughter was so happy.  She thought it was like Xmas or something.

That show was not the best, but the time I had with my daughter there, chasing her all over the lawn during the show was interesting.

I have not seen my daughter in a year now because I moved away to live nearer to my second wife's family, and I miss her so damn much, all these memories come back. We're moving back to where my daughter is soon, I can't take being away from her anymore... worst decision I ever made moving away.

God's willing, I will be able to bring her to more shows if my ex doesn't keep me from my daughter like she's implying she's going to try to do.
