PholkTales: Random Acts of Kindness
I don't want to oversaturate this website with pointless stories, but I remembered one this afternoon that made me smile. So I thought I'd share.

I think it was around Thanksgiving this year, and I was home for break. I went online, and went into the Phish Phorum on AOL. I go in there once in a while and talk with some really cool heads.

All of a sudden, some guy writes "I'll burn a free show for anyone who can punctuate this sentence: 'Is it it is how is it it is.'" (or something like that.) So I did my best, and wrote it out in the phorum. I thought it was a cool joke within the chat room. Then, the guy IMs me and tells me that I got it, and asks for my address and stuff.  I gave it to him, but I was trying to be all like "no, man. it's cool.  I don't want to waste your time." So he says, "alright dude, take care."

A couple of weeks later at school, I get a package with the 11-22-97 Hampton show, both discs. Inside one of the cases, it said, "Brian, my man, keep the good vibes alive." I almost cried. I couldn't believe it.  I emailed him back, thanking him profusely.

It's things like that which makes Phish Phans better than any phans on earth. Dude, I still have your address in my room. I know it's been a while, but I'll get you back for the favor. Thanks again, and much love.

Take Care,

Brian
