PholkTales: Random Acts of Kindness

Alpine Valley 2000 was my first Phish show, and I didn't have a ticket to get in.  I was told to go anyway because there would be extras to barter for, so I went. I spent the day looking for a miracle ticket. My friends all headed into the show, and I still didn't have a ticket.

It was okay because while I was wandering around the parking lot, I met a lot of really fun-loving people that didn't have tickets also. Everyone was sooooo nice to me that I couldn't have asked for a better time.  After meeting a bunch of really cool people, the show was over and I couldn't find my friends that I came with.

I couldn't find the car anywhere either because I got out to try and find a ticket before we parked. I started to get really worried, when all of a sudden this guy (Zach) out of the blue asks me if I'm okay.  I explained to him my story, and he said not to worry... if I couldn't find them, he would give me a ride back to my campsite.

I wasn't too sure where that was because I didn't drive or pay a lot of attention to where we were staying. He offered to drive me all the way back to Fargo, ND if we couldn't find the campsite. Anyway, we ended up making it back to the campsite. I just wanted to say how grateful I am to you Zach.  I had a great time hanging out with you, and I hope to see you again at a future show.
