OK, I guess I'm not really a P.B. because I am a guy, and I have never been associated with the P.B.s in any official sense. But this past summer I had the extreme pleasure of being accompanied by several Phunky Bitches for the last leg of the tour. 

Our friends Samantha and Jason have a school bus ('81 International) that they have used for various excursions and tours. Samantha is a P.B., and buses are big. The end result was what every male Hippie has probably dreamed of. A beautifully renovated psychedelic schoolbus, filled with kind, cool people, an African grey Parrot, and a girl to guy ratio of like 2:1... and I was the only single guy on the bus. 

Not that I abused this situation or anything, it's just that these girls were so awesome and full of love and energy. It amazed me to see how they helped one another out and how many other P.B.'s they knew wherever we were. I'm not a feminist or anything, but it does me really good to see women respect themselves and each other and not just cling to some guy who probably doesn't deserve them. In a situation as chaotic as tour, this support is a must. 

The result of all this was basically me being spoiled rotten by these ladies, and yes, there was some romance involved. But overall I just wanted to say thanks to Heather, Sam, Megan, Jessica, and Brooke for giving me about the best Phish experience ever, and to all the P.B.s out there who keep the phamily in tact. Keep it up! We need you!!!
