I only began following Phish a few years ago, but I've already racked up 20 shows. Upon hearing a friend say that Phish covers a Ween tune, all I could wish for was to hear that cover (I'm a Ween Freak first and foremost).  I'd crossed my fingers at the first four shows, but to no avail. 

My 'family' is the type that gets dressed up and makes noise and sends out happy vibes. We gave out hundreds upon hundreds of balloons, saving a few of the HUGE balloons for ourselves. Mine, a big red one, was drawn upon with the words, "ROSES ARE FREE-WEEN-R-GODS (i love you too Phish!)" 

I then drew the Ween Boognish, and threw it out into the crowd. We were near the tapers in the back. It bounces, bounces bounces all the way up...aaaaall the way up. Up on stage, next to Trey's mic., the balloon stays during the whole first set. 

Eventually Trey picks it up and throws it behind some equipment. During the set break, some little kid came out onstage and picked my balloon up-played with it for a few minutes, than took it backstage with him. We did our little wacky merry making, came back, to hear the second set open up with Roses. I cried, man. To hear everybody singing it, I was so very ecstatic. And it was only the beginning...
