PholkTales: Phishy Coincidences
I recently moved to Princeton, NJ, home of the phamous Rhombus. This massive sculpture is in a very out-of-the-way place. I never would have found it without some helpful guidance. I saw it for the first time a few months ago and wanted to check it out again.

The last few days have been the first truly warm wear-shorts-and-enjoy-the-sunshine day since this incredibly long, white winter. I decided to take it all in by revisiting the Rhombus, play some folf, and get some fresh air. I had to park on the side of a busy road and walk through a large open field to get there.

The field is enclosed on three sides by tree lines and the forth boundary is the road where I had parked. I was walking through the park toward the opposite side when I hear some rapid *thuds* coming up fast from behind me. I whirled around and there, running at full speed about 20 feet to my right, was a large whitetail deer leaping gracefully through the brilliant sunset. It's white tail pointed to the sky, begging for attention.

The first thing that popped into my head was "Run like an Antelope! OUT OF CONTROL!!". It must have been some kind of good omen to make a fantastic day that much more memorable. I sat by the Rhombus thinking about how Trey, Tom, and their friends met on this same patch of grass and wrote that mystical creation, Divided Sky. In that same spot they generated thousands of ideas that would some day, many years later, open my eyes to new experiences, new friends, and the knowledge that things are always going to turn out alright. Our country has thousands of monuments that elicit reverence for some people. The Rhombus is one of mine.
