PholkTales: Phishy Coincidences
After the second night Cinci show (02/22/03), and after a great night of partying in the Millenium Hotel, the 4 of us including my wife Trish were chillin' out in our room listening to some tunes.

At about 4:20am (no shit!) we got a knock at our door. Standing there was some dude we'd never seen before saying that someone told him we were having a party in our room. Since we WERE partying, we invited him in.

He told us his name was David, and he sat down and started telling us stories about his life, his van and experiences he's had at Phish shows. David was a very lively and entertaining story teller and he definitely was commanding our attention. The best story he told us was about how he held his girlfriend's daughter up near the stage at a Cleveland show and how Trey stopped playing to grab a note she was holding.

Trish suddenly remembered that she'd heard that story before and started exploring where we may have met him. After some thought he mentioned that this story was published on Pholktales.com. Trish immediately recognized that she had indeed read it at pholktales.com and that it was odd because it was the only story she'd read there.

We told him our story and he said that he too had read our story on pholktales.

Today, while searching for his story I found out that his story http://www.pholktales.com/stories/encounters/story500.htm
was story of the week for week of August 4, THE WEEK AFTER our story was story of the week for week of July 28. see http://www.pholktales.com and look for Serendipity", followed by "Daughter Gave Trey Ticket in Cleveland 6/9/02".

Coincidence?
