PholkTales: Phishy Coincidences
I have many of interesting stories from the epic journey, that was Big Cypress. The one I wish to write about is not one I am proud of, but does carry with it a lesson or two.

I was locked into the atypical jam out of 'Rock n Roll' when I noticed I really needed to go to the bathroom, but I was not going to miss the jam. So I bottled up my physiological urges and thought, I will go after this song, after this song. Well the song went over thirty minutes, and by the end I was ready to make the walk from the tapers area to the edge of the concert grounds where I suspected the bathrooms to be.

I say goodbye to my fiancé, take a mental map of where I am so I can get back, and then I started my out of state walk. Just as I start walking, Phish busts into YEM. Damn! Well I will just dance my way to the restrooms, I thought. I arrive at the restrooms and to my disappointment the lines are very long. My bladder is about to burst. I see a number of people, guys, relieving themselves on a wall of sort. I could not hold it any longer, and headed to a wall quickly.

I felt ashamed, and I even thought I heard people booing at us, serves us right. Well I got done and headed back through the masses during the YEM vocal jam. I made it back to my spot, even though I thought there would be no way I would find my fiancé among the mass of thousands. I began dancing again and tried to refrain from drinking any more water...

The show continues through the night and later I finally get thirsty. I reach down to take a sip of one of my water bottles, and I notice it tastes a little salty as it is going down. I quickly stop drinking and inspect it. It was dark so I got out a glowstick and noticed it had a yellow tone to it. What, it must be my eyes affecting the tonality... It was not until sunrise that I confirmed my worst fear, I had swallowed somebody else's urine.

Folks, inspect your water bottles before drinking at large festivals that last 7 hours. In addition, always remember that your actions have a way of coming full circle. Lastly, the fact that someone was able to take a leak in both my water bottles during the show says a lot about where my focus was that evening, AHHHHHHHHHHH, PHISH!
