PholkTales: Phishy Coincidences
It was a group of about 7 or 8 of us at the Philly 2001 Trey show.  My friend Ryan and I got separated from the rest of the group and decided to try and get a closer look at the show. He had a lawn seat and I had a Reserved, so it was just a matter of passing my ticket back and forth before we were down pretty close.

We were dancing in the aisle toward the end of the first set and a woman with blonde hair, who looked to be in her late 40s to early 50s to our left, in a private, railed-off box, asked us if we wanted to sit with her. So, we obliged and just chilled there for the rest of the first set (which ended with First Tube). At the set break we started talking to her and she introduced herself as none other than...Geneva Anastasio, Trey's mom. Needless to say, we were a little taken back by this boastful proclamation. Turns out we were dancing with Trey's whole family.

At the end of the show, Geneva gave my friend Ryan and I a hug, and I said, "Your son plays great music." Geneva replied, "Yeah, he was alright tonight."

Editor's Note: I guess Trey's mom often comes to watch her son play...  you just gotta be in the right place at the right time.
