I would venture to say that my name is fairly rare, and getting to meet somebody with the same name as myself is something that has only happened twice in my life. The first time I actually met another Jonah in person was in an elevator in a hotel on the strip in Hampton, VA, during the weekend there in 1998. 

As some girls were leaving the elevator on one of the floors they said, "later, Jonah."  This caught me off guard because I had never met them, and I am usually the only Jonah around. There was only one other person in the elevator, so I turned to him and asked him if his name was Jonah. The other Jonah had never met another Jonah either, so it was a very weird feeling. 

We laughed about it, gave each other a hug, and parted ways when the elevator doors opened on the next floor. What are the chances of having two Jonah's in an elevator?
