Well, me and my friend Joey had Tickets for the second night at the Meadows in Hartford, but we took a drive there the first day, hoping to find two extra tickets. After selling all of the beer we planned on selling, Joey looked at me and said, "It seems weird, but I know were getting in tonight."  I said the same. 

We walked around the lot with our fingers up for about 3 hours with no luck.  Then we came across two kids who asked us to smoke a bowl, so we started to talk to them and they asked if we were going in. So we told them our story, and they also said, "You know what, I have a weird feeling im gonna see ya inside." 

So we parted from them and began to walk towards the gate, keeping hope with only a little time left.  We tried asking the man at the door if we could get in if we paid him or just to let us sneak by like a lot of people were doing. Phish began their first song, and almost everyone was in the show when the left gate began to close. 

A man with a ticket quickly stuck his head out before it closed and said, "Quick, somebody take it."  I quickly grabbed it and walked away smiling until an unhappy phan ran from about 50 feet back and said he wanted it.  He said he was gonna beat me up I didn't give it to him. 5 Minutes later we saw the same kid, and he swung a skateboard at my head until a cop saw it, and he rode away. 

Now we only needed one ticket, but with basically everyone in the show and about one hundred phans looking for tickets, it was unlikely.  But on our walk to the lot, the first girl we saw asked us if we needed a ticket, and we bought it with such happiness. We were in!  And it just so happened that the first 2 people we saw on the walk in the show were the 2 we smoked with, the kids who said they would see us. I don't know... it just shows what a little hope will do!
