This was my first show in Cincy a few years back. It was on the winter tour and my friend and I were staying in Cincy for a few days, going to the two shows and seeing a Bengals game the next day, so we got a hotel room. A lot of phans were in the same hotel across the border in Kentucky. My friend and I just had one hell of a journey to Cincy (small town folk not familar with the intricate highway down there) so we wanted to celebrate our arrival with some fun.

We took some mushrooms and ordered a pizza and fired a splif. After words we realized that there was no way to open up the window. Being the geniuses of the moment, we decided the best way to get some air flow was to open up the door. After about 10 minutes I got real tired. I fell asleep, as did my friend. It didn't feel like long but we both knew that our shrooms had kicked in once we awoke. We didn't mean to fall asleep, therefore the door was still open. We were woken up by the tv blaring. I was hazy and not sure what was going on and realized that a 6'5 redheaded man was sitting at our desk eating our pizza and smoking a cigarette. "Man," he said, "I smelled that funk and walked in here. It's so smokey in here that I think I caught a buzz, that's why I'm eating your pizza."

Complete dumbfounded, I used one-word sentences and agreed with whatever he said. After about 2 minutes he grabbed the last piece and walked out saying, "See you at the show."

"Did that really happen?" my friend asked.  That night we got to the show a few minutes late. We were walking up the ramp and saw the guy again. My friend pointed him out. When we got inside the guy was waiting there for us with a beer each. Crazy day, awesome show, great DWD. Take it easy y'all and see you at Cincy 2/22.
