Surprisingly the show was nowhere close to sold out, and the seats around us were barely filled. It was pretty much our entire area empty. We all found our seats and the show begins soon after. Just then an older couple (in their late 60's AT LEAST) sit directly behind us in the next row. When the issue of a future bowl arises, we begin to become fairly indecisive; feeling that it's kind of wrong to do this in front of an older couple that IN NO WAY gave the impression that they were cool with it.

In fact, we had all agreed by this time that these people were obviously lost or had no clue what show they were seeing! :-)... Nevertheless, the show went on and so did our concerns until, for some reason, I turned around and out of the corner of my eye saw the biggest bag I've ever seen at a Phish show (paired with the biggest smiles from its owners).

To make a long story short, we spent the following hours with these two people, hearing stories that left us awed and inspired beyond belief, and leaving with the biggest sense of disbelief. We still laugh about it to this day.
