PholkTales: Odd Phans
THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE STORY POSTED BY Anonymous: Imagine planning a RAGER OF A NIGHT. You're at Deer Creek, you've seen every show besides Toronto, and you don't have to drive to get to another venue tomorrow, just back to the hotel. So you get really rolled. You really want pavillion seats for the night, so you hook some brother up with 3 lawn seats for their two pavillion.

The show's just about to begin, and just as you reach your seats, you notice a taper has set up all his equipment in one of your seats, and standing in the other. You kindly ask him to please move his equipment somewhere else, since he is in your seats, and he replies "No, it's first come, first serve."

Then the band comes on and opens with My friend. This guy still won't cooperate. Meanwhile, we're standing in other peoples seats who we don't even know and so extremely crowded that nobody can move. Then the boys bust into Curtain. The people behind us, (I guess Anonymous and her sister) who don't even fuckin' know the names of these songs are asking me if I'm "on crack" because I want this guy to move into his own taper seat. This is when I lost my shit and got agro. I then asked "Bethany" to have him move in her seat, since she's so down with rude people sitting in their seats.

Don't get me wrong, if nobody comes to claim the seat, that's cool. But I would never deny a person their seat, even if I was taping. That isn't cool. And Bethany, by the way, that wasn't my husband, and I didn't even know those other 4 people who you claim were my friends. THEY LEFT BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T DANCE!

But since you were barely dancing at all, you wouldn't realize how important it is for some of us to GET DOWN. It truly is my very favorite thing in life; nothing better than dancing at a Phish show. And that person that the regular staffies were trying to get over there to get this guy out of our seats was Bart. But I'm positive you wouldn't know who the head of Phish security was either.

See this is why us dedicated fans get frustrated and tag you with names such as "custies." Let's face it, you don't know what's up. It's amazing how you talk so much shit without even knowing what was said between us before everything got so loud. And by the way, rock on with your long polished nails and your mamma shirt that you bought at Target.

Editor's Note: I think a lot of people are sick of the custy label, and I can't say that I blame 'em.
