PholkTales: Odd Phans
So we are walking back to the lots after an incredible July 3 '00 show at the Blockbuster ampitheater in Camden, NJ. To get to the lot we were at, you had to walk under this bridge (for cars). The bridge is pretty damn tall, like the height of a highway bridge.

Anyway, as we are approaching the bridge we hear the familiar sounds of bongos and percussion instruments. As we come nearer we see a mass of pholks just dancin' it up and movin' to the music, in the middle of the street. The coolest part was that some people still had glowsticks, and they were starting a glowstick war. The guys who were playin' the drums were on this 15 foot high concrete wall underneath the bridge, and there was about 20 of them, so it was real loud.

I was in a mind altered state, so to witness this was quite an experience all on its own. So, as we are startin' to groove to the beat, this guy who looked like the guy from animal house is up on the concrete thing where the drummers are, and yells to all the phans below, who in turn yell back. This continued, and every time he yelled the phans' response became more enthusiastic.

One guy really got into the act and somehow managed to score a really big wet towel and began slapping it against the concrete wall with all his might. This guy had a face of total determination on, and he whipped the wall repeatedly. I'm sure some of you guys took part or witnessed the same thing. If so please tell me. I just wanted to thank the guy who provided such great entertainment.
