PholkTales: Near Catastrophes
So here's my tale about a near catastrophe I has at the Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater this past summer(03). I'm from Chattanooga, TN and Atlanta is only about an hour and a half drive from home, so my best friend and I headed for the show (my first Phish show for that matter).

We got into the lots after about a two hour wait in ridiculously hot traffic. We hit the lots and shakedown as I'm so accustomed to. Well, I found some really good headies and even got a free Corona for buyin' it.

Well now comes the punch. We head to the gate to go inside the madness of the old Lakewood. Because I hadn't been here, I didn't know of their hard-assed security setup and search procedures. I get patted down and the asshole security guard takes my eighth of probably the funkiest nug I'd ever been in possession of.

Now's when I started freakin' out because I'd also eaten some boomers in the lot before the show. The guard is about to call one of the cops on the side of the rail to come over and arrest me, or so I thought.

Now's when I'm given the nicest thing, a way out. Some kind phan says to the guard, "Man, let the kid see the show. He didn't hurt anybody." Thanks brother for the help. The guard is like, "Whatever, go on in." I got in and enjoyed the greatest show of my life.

In closing, I'd like to thank that kind person who helped me outta my situation that could have been much worse. Keep on Phishin, y'all.
