PholkTales: Near Catastrophes
I would first like to thank the Pholktales site for creating something for us kids to express our Phish related memories. I spend most of my free time at work reading all (well almost all) of these humorous, kynd, fun, intelligent, and important stories that we all have experienced and grown so well to appreciate.

My little adventure kicks off on the day of the Hershey 2000 show. My friend and I in one car and my lil sis and my dad in another... we eventually meet up half way so my sis can ride with us into the lot. Having lost my ticketless dad, we finally make our way to line of cars to get in. Well, anyone who had to deal with Pennsylvania cops knows what i'm about to try to put into words.

We get pulled over because Brandon flicks a cigarette out of the window, and we become extremely paranoid because we had 10 minutes earlier smoked the tiny bit of pot that we had left. So they pull us over and tell Brandon to get out. They pad him down like a raging lope, pull me and my little sister out, who was at the time 16, and harass us as they search our bodies.

The car and my sisters purse were completely searched (he put on rubber gloves), and they finally let us go with a ticket for the cigarette. Whatever. So we make in the lot 15 minutes before show time a bit rattled and unfortunately, mainly for my sis's place, weren't able to fully absorb the raging and over flowing lot(Hiatus=good).  Meanwhile my ticketless dad is roaming the lot somewhere, without a ticket to a sold out show.

We entered the venue assuming that he would make some friends in the lot (kinda funny to think about). First tube opener- nice, very appropriate. Crescendo ends and who do we see wading in the crowd-MY DAD!! He miraculously got a ticket! We were so happy for him and astonished that he not only got a ticket, be that we happened to bump into him!

Back to the show. Good first set. Windora, corrina, nice. Intermission comes and we see... yes... the naked guy. I think he was mentioned in another story. Although it was funny, it kinda gave us a bad vibe until the crowd begin the cheer. Second set was awesome and Shakedown after the show with my dad was very interesting, to say the least. Overall i had i great time and met some good people. Hope everyone enjoyed my 3 cents. Sorry for rambling. I get carried away with phish. But then again..... don't we all?

BE GOOD FAMILY,
