PholkTales: Near Catastrophes
I hadn't really listened to Phish until right after they stopped touring (2000), but after i started, i just couldn't stop. I was amazed by the way that they seem to know their music before they even play it, and move together, seemingly without effort. So needless to say, when I saw the 2003 Feb. tour and Cincinnati showed up twice, i was psyched for months before the shows.

To make this even better, a week before the 21/22nd my parents told me they would be at a hotel for the weekend since it was my mom's bday. So I was going crazy waiting for the week to pass. When it finally came Friday was great, and all day Saturday, we partied and got ready for the show at my house. There were probably 20-25 people at my house when my dad calls and says he forgot something and will be home in 5 minutes.

Now I'm not in a stable mindset at the time, and this was very upsetting to hear, so I sprint to the basement and tell everyone to move the cars up the street and run back into the basement. They do and just as everyone gets back inside, my dad pulls into the driveway. I go out and talk to him for a second, and he just turns around and leaves. Lucky right.... well then we get to the show and Saturday was unbelievable. my parents still have no idea about what we pulled off that weekend, but i guess phish provides for people, so I'm not that surprised... anyway, my first two shows we re absolute bliss and i definitely look forward to many more

peace love and phish... Zam
