skipping a three-hour dull driving segment, i get to the drama. so we are forty or so miles from ohio, not even half way but far enough, and we smack a huge deer. we felt awful. a trucker took us to the stop nearby and took care of all the business. my car is totally done for now. we hung around the shop from 1 am. to 5 am, gettin insurance to come look. then we hitchhike. i believe it was one van with a nice man who packed us with all his boxes and took us into the middle of northern ohio.

then a trucker, then a crazy guy, then we walked and got a ride from a head and we're there. everyone helped and we all saw the shows and so on, not really part of the story although the shows rocked and we had a great time right after a crazy, crappy evening.

so we left with friends who take us to oil city to wait for my near totaled car to be repaired. four days. we get the car and drive with just one of my friends left, the other found his own way home. car breaks down two hours back towards ny. we stay another night, fixed by noon, then leave. one hour later near the gw bridge as we're getting close to home, we get rear ended. totalled.

no injury but we got smacked and called a cab to manhattan, then the train to home. well it was totally nuts, and whenever i tell this story people love it so i thought i'd tell you.
