I guess it all started in Pittsburgh, where myself and two friends were planning on making the 7 hour trip to the weekend hampton shows in the fall of '98!! We were psyched to see the boys, naturally, and wouldn't cha know, my friends decided to head off 4 days early to catch the carolina shows. I would no doubt be down with that if it weren't for the 10 page paper i had due in the middle of the week...so here i have tickets to go to hampton, but no way of getting there.....

So, i jump on the horn and decide to hook up with grant and jill in philly early friday morning.  I let them know that I will be taking the 9 hour bus trip in from the 'burgh to meet them at 10 am!

After guzzling endless amounts of Nyquil, I ungulate my weary and cold-free body to the car at precisely 10 am... there i meet grant and jill, and we were on our way via the U of Maryland to pick up another friend, jon. So about an hour into the trip, we start to puff a first bowl cruising down I-95. Then, out of nowhere, a U hall truck runs us off the road!! grant's car locks up on him, and we start doing 360's down the embankment. 

Not even being able to realize what's going on, i see us spinning towards northbound traffic... i figured that we were doomed.... then, i open my eyes only to find us about 18 inches from the nearest lane of the highway, SHIT!!! grant had put his elbow through the window, jill and i were just skitzed out for sure knowing we could have easily been killed!

We then proceed to get the car fixed, pick up jon, tell him the story in disbelief!?? pop a jelly, and enter the sacred house of earthly delights known as Hampton Coliseum... just as they open with Rock and Roll Pt. 2!! thank god we got there, a bit scratched and bruised, but safe.  What a couple of shows they were too, whew! 

-oh yeah, the ride back was safe, as i met up with the two kids known as al and dosin to head back to pittsburgh!
