so i'm drivin and drivin for about an hour and some change, and i still see no signs that are familiar to me. so, i just kept on driving until i saw the BIG sign "GETTYSBURG 20 MILES".... all i could do was laugh at myself... i was laughin so hard i woke everyone else up. so now, not only did i drive two hours in the wrong direction, we had to drive four more in the right direction. 

i was playin driver for about another hour after that, and we were runnin out of gas pretty quick. i pulled off the highway into some little town (i forget the name), but it was like we drove right into the twilight zone.... we couldn't find any gas stations till we were almost puttin our way along. 

so now my friend decides he wants to take a stab at driving. we're drivin along for another hour and a half now and i'm dozin off a bit. the two kids in the back are snorin away... i don't know how much time passed since i fell asleep, but i do know that when i woke up everyone else was asleep... i looked up and the speedometer read that we were goin about 90MPH right into the highway divider!!! 

"oh poopie," i said to myself, grabbed the jug of water that was on the floor in front of me, and started to hit the driver with it to wake him up. well, you're probably thinking, "wow, what a dumbass... you should have just grabbed the wheel and woken him up." well, i realized after the fact that that would have been a whole lot safer than what i had done, but what the hell, we made it home. hope to see some of you people at some phish shows when they come back!!! peace-
