On the morning of August 14th, 1996, I left my home in Virginia Beach for my parents' home in Harrisburg, PA.  It was a beautiful day... great ride north around DC and past Gettysburg. I got home in PA around 1pm and just chilled until 3pm, when all of my friends from Bloomsburg, PA. were meeting me at my parents' house. 

Around 3:30 we headed to Beer World and stocked up for the night. We got to the lot around 6pm because it took us 2 hours to drive 10 miles due to terrible traffic. Since we got there late, we had to park in a huge grass field about a mile from Hershey Park Stadium. We all quickly dropped some triple-dipped blotter and headed into the show. 

The show itself was fantastic! Great Reba, Runaway Jim, YEM, & Tweezer. When the lights finally came on, it was time to find the car, and my friend and I were going to drive the 5 hours back to Virginia Beach. When we left the stadium and headed towards the field where the car was, it was pitch black outside. There were no markings in the field and everyone was wandering around looking for their cars. 

We spent about 30 minutes looking for the car before we ran into a friend of ours. We chilled at their car for about 30 more minutes, tokin' up and basically wondering if we would ever find the car. We then spent another hour looking for the car with no luck. So now it's 2 hours after the show, and we still have not found the car. 

My car has an alarm on it, so I was walking around with the remote in the air trying to make it "chirp."  After about another 30 minutes we finally heard a "chirp."  We followed the noise until we finally found the car. Turns out the car was 2 cars away from where we had been tokin' with a friend over an hour before we found it. 

We were so pissed that we were that close and also so happy that we found the car. Well, lesson learned... never park in an open field with no markings, eat acid, and then expect to find your car. We made sure that when we went back to Hershey on 9.15.00, we parked where there were signs!
