I was keeping my end of the bargain by listening to "the Bunny" and following their pleas to follow the rules and facilitate a smooth entry into the venue. Like me, thousands of others were turned away by state police only a few miles from our destination. Like me, phans from all over the country gladly spent there hard earned money on tickets and transportation to the show. Personally I dropped nearly $1,200 on supplies, tickets,g as and a rental car to get to Vermont.

I was completely prepared to wait it out as usual in the voluminous lines of traffic that have become such a part of these festival shows. I waited for 17 hours just last year to get into the "It" fest. I can't blame anyone for that, it's just part of the experience and you learn to make the best of it.

This experience will unfortunately cast a shadow on all of the incredible memories I've had as a simple fan of the great music Phish has created. I know there is no one person to blame. I don't see the band as being responsible for this fiasco, but the promoter could have or should have had some contingencies for the bad weather. I can't even begin to express my frustration with how this all turned out.

Fourteen years as an avid supporter and true phan of the band and this is how it ends for me? I just cannot believe this happened the way it did. I'm very sorry for all of you who were with me in the "right lane" and who were denied access into the show. It's a sad tale. Goodbye, and farewell. Don't forget that in life you should always stay in the "right lane" regardless of circumstance. Karma will ensure the rest takes care of itself.
