PholkTales: Miscellaneous
This is my first tale. I have read many a tale here. So here goes.......It all started at Oak Mountain 9-28-99. The day was wet, but a great day for phish.  Dunno how many of you who are reading this went to the show, but IMO is was a kick ass show. It could have been Molly messin w/ me, or that I had nice seats (7 rows back on right)!

Anyway, the show kicked off w/ wolfman then on to Sneakin Sally! I couldn't believe it. I only heard it on some of my friend's tapes while I was attending AU. Maze was also sick.

During set I stayed put in my seat and was starting to feel Molly messin w/ me. This was first time I met that girl. And let me tell ya she likes to play and play hard!

Anyway, 2nd set starts out w/ farmhouse. It was standard. Then heavy things came on. And believe you me, things were gettin' really heavy. I was loving every bit of it. Next up was first tube. Only time I heard this was on a trey tour show. This is when things got crazy. Fishman was hittin his snare w/ his head turned left like he was listening for something in the snare w/ his eyes closed. Occasionally I thought he was lookin' at me smiling.

As the song progressed, my hands were in the air all twiddling and whatnot with Trey lookin at me. I thought he was saying, keep going, like I was composing first tube. I felt like I was going to explode! Tweezer was also felt funkdified. And when they went in to makisupa things were just right. It was perfect. YEM was off the hook w/ the rain coming down. Then the encore of Halley's Comet. First time I heard that tune too

I went to the show in memphis the next night. We were late because we had to drive back to Montgomery to drop a friend off that couldn't go to memphis; plus we had to make sure he got there safe. We stopped at this motel on way back to Montgomery due to the roads being wet and slippery.

I went in to get a room, and this Middle East brother came out from the backroom where the front desk was located. One look and I knew he was fried. hehehe. i kid u not.

all in all i felt like trey was watching my hands compose first tube. it was great. call me crazy if u want, but it was a show worth seeing.

thanks for ur time
