PholkTales: Miscellaneous
I don't have too many details, but what I do have is sweet.

I have it on good authority, from a business partner of mine, the origins of "Farmhouse" and "Bug," specifically.

As it turns out, Phish rented my friend's friend's house in Vermont back in 1999 to record a new album (as it turns out, I'm sure you can imagine, it was a FARMHOUSE!).

So, there's Phish, day in and day out recording, jamming and otherwise having a good 'ole time. My friend tells me that one day, her friend's cleaning lady, who barely spoke english, was ranting and raving at Trey et. al for leaving sandwiches out in the middle of the den and living room and such because they were gonna attract BUGS!

So, of course, the cleaning lady has no idea of who Phish is and why they're g-d-like, so to her, that's that. Of course, we know to Trey, Paige, Mike and John that THAT certainly wasn't THAT!!!

So, not much more to the story, other than they wrote and recorded "BUG" due to the disciplining of this non-engish speaking cleaning-lady!

How's that? I thought it rang pretty true. My friend says that Phish left her friend (the one with the Farmhouse, remember?) a tape from their recordings. I have asked my friend (I practically offered to father her first child) to get me the tape, or at least a copy of it.

We shall see....

Listening to Hampton Comes Alive right now. Yehaaaaw!

Peace out all. Cya on NYE2002 at mSG!!!!!!!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
