It was the night after the NYE2000 event had ended and we were tired of sitting in traffic.  Since we weren't moving, we decided to get out and explore. My buddy Bill and I started to walk around the NYE2000 campgrounds to have some fun. We decided to go over to the venue to check it out and see how it looked after the all night set. 

While we were scoping out the scene, we noticed that it was dark enough out that we could probably be stealthy and sneak past the the security guard at the entrance to the backstage camp area.  We were right. 

Surprisingly, there wasn't a whole lot of activity backstage.  We saw a lot of trailers and stuff as we approached the main backstage area. We walked around for a while and went in some rooms. . . found a clean toilet to use (if you were there, you know how bad the port-a-johns got after they stopped servicing them.) 

After a little exploring we decided to sneak up onto the empty stage to check out the view... there were a few people chillin in the VIP grandstands smokin a bowl.  We figured they would kick us out, but they didn't. The view was amazing. 

We left the stage on the opposite side that we entered on and made an awesome discovery... the Father Time stage set was sitting right in front of us. We checked it out and decided that we had to get a camera and take a snapshot of it. 

We headed back to the car and grabbed a camera. We were unsure if we would be as lucky sneaking in again as we were the first time. Sure enough, we evaded the security guard once again and got a priceless picture of me sitting on father times bike. It was a memory that will last a lifetime. My only regret is that we weren't lucky enough to find the Hot Dog... oh well, i guess i cant complain.
