It was Shoreline 1999 (9-16-99) and despite my pre-show pee, I had to go again and we were only about 3-4 songs into the show.

Phish started playing First Tube and I hadn't seen it before, but I still had to break away and go pretty badly.

So I'm in the john and I notice what look like urinals in the center of the room. No one is using them and they didn't offer too much privacy, but I was really intent on both peeing and seeing as much of the song as possible, so I start peeing into this huge metal bin that to me looked enough like a urinal.

About 10 seconds later I hear behind me "hey man, what's up?" and the response "nothing. I'm just standing here watching this kid piss in the sink."

I finished quickly and just bolted. I couldn't bring myself to share the story with my sister whom I was with at the show until days later at the Chula Vista show when it just struck me as funny.

Everytime I hear First Tube I can't help but think about the first time I heard the song and of that guy who said "nothing. I'm just standing here watching this kid piss in the sink."
