PholkTales: Miscellaneous
Before I start my story, I think I owe a lot of people an apology. I would always read random stories on this site, about how people finally realize how awesome the Phish community is, & how they are glad to be a part of it, & I never found those stories interesting. Now, I have a similar story, so I must say sorry to all of those people who I was unsympathetic for.

It was Tuesday (June 18th) & I just got home from school. I looked at my brother jumping up and down in excitement, for he was going to the Radio City Trey show that night. I was jealous as anything because I couldn't go because I had finals for the next three days. So I went on-line and I started reading rumors for that show that night. All I read was, "Phish is coming back!"  I didn't think that Phish would really come back that night, but I knew I had to go.

So after arguing w/ the pops for 20 min., & telling my mom that I'll do good on the finals anyway, I called every ticket broker in the tri-state area & found a ticket for $65. Harsh, i know, but I had to go! So I went & had an amazing time. No Phish of coarse, but it was sick. Then Thursday roles around. Guess who was playing at PNC that night?!?! Once again after arguing w/ my parents & going through hell for a ticket, Holmdel, NJ was where I ended up that night. This show was insane, & included Bathub>Chalkdust acoustic!!!

In the end, the moral of this story is, when I grow up and I look back, I'll remember failing all my finals just to see Trey. Cause it didn't matter to me that I would receive bad grades for all my subjects. All that mattered was that I saw my "God" for two awesome shows. I think Trey will grow just to be as big as Jerry, even though Jerry had a bigger impact on people (no doubt about it). But Jerry didn't tour w/ an underground, word-of mouth jam band for 17 years, & then make a solo band, & then make a mysterious trio w/ an album, & then go back to his solo band, add more members & make an album.

So for those of you who are scared to say it...Trey is a (or will be) a legend, & I'm a lot more happy that I lived through the time of Phish, rather than the Dead. But please don't get me wrong, i LOVE the Dead. But nothing will ever beat Phish!
