PholkTales: Miscellaneous
Okay, so a friend and I just start getting into phish around 1995. It was just in time to catch a nice run in the fall. Because of college, the only show we were able to catch in 1996 was in Park City. Not a bad show. We were up on the hill most of the show with the "cat in the hat." Killer punch you encore.

Anyway, we decide whenever mail order comes out to buy some new year's tickets. So we order the tickets assuming they will arrive within a couple of weeks and all will be phine. A couple of weeks go by, and then a couple of weeks go by, and still no tickets. Mid December soon arrives, and still we're waitin' for the mailman. At this point my, roomate is convinced that phish ripped us off. For some reason neither of us decide to call and check on the tickets, and we end up taking a ride to Ybor City for new year's.

It was a good time, but I would rather have been phishin'. At the time we ordered the tickets, we were living in a shitty two bedroom apartment that featured two front doors, one of which had a big fat couch planted in front of it. We moved out several months after new year's only to discover the mailman had slipped a fed-ex package under the door. At first I saw the package and didn't realize what it could be. Upon opening it I began to cry like a little girl.

After looking at the setlist (rhapsody), I knew we had ph*cked up. So, as trey would say, take care of your shoes, but also check for your new years tickets under your couch.
