PholkTales: Miscellaneous
Well, this is a phish-tale of '99 at Polaris in Ohio. It was going to be great! I had two tickets, one for me, one for a girl I was involved with. We were going with a couple of friends, or so I thought. I smoked one with Rachel, and she decided she didn't want to go. Great! I'm slightly broken-hearted, but I still get to see Phish AND I have an extra ticket.

So, Matt, Mary and I head down.... it was no problem helping someone out ticket-wise. After being in the lot for ten minutes I had given it up for some nice fungus :)

The show starts and I'm feeling good for so many reasons... the tasty treats and the grilled cheese, the vegetation, the MUSIC!! The dancing!! Once again, I was the mischievous sprite, complete in my skirt and little red pouch (for holding odd stuff in), and dancing all over the lawn.

After a couple of hours, it really started to rain, lightly at first. It kept getting worse, but I was in a groove and Phish was still groovin'... eventually, though, Matt and Mary found me and were ready to go. Bummer, but later I found out that the show was forced to stop, due to lightning and all the dangers and such. SO, we get out before traffic and go to a Waffle House, where we meet more phriends and I'm still energized from the goodness of the night.

I know that each time I sit back and think of past times... Phish is always something to bring a smile to my face and give me a warm mellow-glow-feel inside.

I just hope to relive the Phish experience SOON!

and may the stars shine brightly,
guiding your path towards the phish
of your desires......"
