PholkTales: Miscellaneous
It was the end of my junior year in high school, and I was yearning for that Phish fix. My plans were inhibited when I decided to leave home that Summer. It was a spontaneous decision, but one that I now appreciate greatly for the memories that it conjures up.

That Summer I lived out of my car, hoping friends would be kind enough to let me house jump. A little Ford Escort is not the most accommodating vehicle as I soon figured out. Midsummer, some acquaintances of mine from God knows where invited me to go to the show with them. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what year this happened, cause I wasn't really of clear mind. But anyways, I of course looked at the opportunity as fate.

We drove to Pine lakes in Noblesville the next day. It was incredible. If that would have been a permanent village, I would have lived there content forever. I of course indulged in the finer things all day long, then tapped it off with an incredible show that evening. I did not have the luxury of tickets, but the lake outside carried the acoustics just as well as being in the amphitheatre itself. I had one of the phattest hacky sessions that I've ever had.

It only added to it the fact that Trey and the guys were belting out tunes like: Wilson, fee, slave to the traffic light, and that Summer they were trying to experiment with "Billy Breathes", which I was truly impressed with. Since I was broke that night, I got some garlic grilled cheese donations and an Ice cold Oatmeal stout. The rest of the shows were just as incredible, and that particular Phish visit will forever be embedded in my mind, and for that I'm grateful.
