PholkTales: Encounters With the Band
I would like to start out this story by informing you that my date of birth was June 18, 1977. I turned 25 this year, and to celebrate I took a week off for Trey at Radio City on my B'day and Bonnaroo.

So I drive from Balt. MD to NY city for the day and hang out in the Big Apple, and then I go into the show - now I am doing this solo - and I run into an old phriend before the show and we went to different spots for the first set - I was on the floor and on the corner - so security were ASSHOLES and I went to the balcony for the second set and my phriend joined me.

we puffed dank headies the whole time and before the encore he had to go meet up with his ride - so I am jammin to Alive Again - and then all these special guests come onto the stage and are dancin' and playing percussion instruments - and then it happens...

Trey puts his guitar down and starts dancin' off the stage and through the crowd - I got so excited that I grabbed my stuff and ran down the isle and jumped down those stairs, and right at the isle where he was coming up I waited and then it happened - the MAN, the Legend dances by and I reach out and shake the hand of the man...

and no wimpy little hand shake - but a double position, sweaty-finger pull off - a brotha hand shake - and I say "it is my B'day and this was the greatest day of my life," and he says, "it's nice to meet you," and we danced out onto West 51st and the drums and half naked women followed...

As we danced on, Taxis, Limos, and other random peoples' cars who were not so fortunate had to stop, and the jam was in the street - and it was the most AWESOME experience ever... I have met Mike on several occasions and John also... I have not met Page. But to meet the man that created the world I live in, "Gamehenge" - the man who knows how to shred that axe - it was like better then ecstasy - and I have eaten' enough of that to know how good that makes me feel - and this was SSSSOOOO much better.

So anyways I was raging from that, and on another note, while at Bonnaroo - I met Les Claypool and asked if they would do an Oysterhead set, and he said we'll see... didn't happen... RUMOR has it while Page was out in Vegas w/ Trey Band Trey did not show up for Les's show and Stewart was there and Les is upset... so maybe no more O'head... but that leaves only high hopes for PHISH Reunion... the sooner the better - and maybe the horns from TAB will join - the more the merrier!!! Peace, Love, Good Vibes, Rock & Roll

- Mr. Minor

Editor's Note: I was at this show, and it was indeed an excellent time.  I have a few good pictures from that night for ya'll, but I'm just gonna start off w/ this one... check this out.
