they were heading towards a pizza shop, and that's all i needed to see.  so we ran downstairs to the street and went to the pizza place... they were not there. so we walked down to another food place, and inside were the three of them, getting ready to order. before going in, i thought to myself "i need a pen and a piece of paper," so i went into the store next door to get it. i grabbed the store's business card off the counter and bummed a pen off the guy working. 

I then went back to the food place, walked in, went right up to trey, shook his hand, and told him that he was the best. the look on trey's face as i approached him was as if i was coming in to kick his ass... i did walk in a little to fast. i asked him if i could have his autograph, and he took the card and signed it.  i didn't even look at it at first. 

he told us that after they ate they were going to the nbc studios to play with kid rock on saturday night live... As he shows us a tie-dyed shirt with kid rock on the front.  he asked us if we were here for the shows, and we told him that we came from boston to see phish. 

so after that, we went back to the bar, i took out the business card, and it said (in his writing) "bargain store?" trey anastasio.  i was puzzled for a second till i turned over the card... i guess the store i went into was called the bargain store. then SNL came on, and when kid rock did his 2nd performance, there was trey.  They did some acoustic song... the end.
