Kind of a long story, but I think by reading this you will get some good karma.

I went to Continental on Monday and Philly on Tuesday, both great shows, but I didn't have a ticket for Nassau, but after the first two shows I realized I have to make it to Nassau. So I decided to go to the lot and try to get into the show.

I truck out to Nassau on the LIRR, lots of phisheads on the train, and I get to the lot. Meet up with my friends who have tickets and they try and help me look for one. After about an hour, no luck at all, so I get a call and its my friends who are getting ready to go inside, but want to give me their car keys if I can't get inside. So I run over from Shakedown Street to the car, and on the way somebody hands me a sheet of paper saying there is going to be a ticket raffle at a bar across the street at 7:00. I say thanks and go to the car, get my friends keys and tell them "it doesn't look good."

So now its like 10 to 7 and my friend tells me to try and get in the raffle, "why not?" (Thanks Steve). So I sprint over to the only bar I see, luckily it was the right one )saw someone on the way that was doing the same thing.

In the bar, Images, there is a band playing, Gas Food & Lodging, and they have two tickets they are raffling away. I buy 3 tickets and go order a heineken to wait for the raffle. Drink a beer and listen to some tunes, the band was pretty good and the lead singer is funny, good little show, and now the raffle begins (about 50 people there).

They are going to select two separate tickets for the two tickets they have (I'm like cool, more winners), so they pull the first ticket, the guy sitting two seats from me, right on. Selection #2, not me, I order another heineken (Well at least there is a bar here to kill some time in while I wait for my friends, no big deal), but wait, the girls who won either don't have the ticket or were lying????, so now they are going draw again for the last ticket!!!! Could it be....holy crap they just called my number, I'm in!!!!

I run up to the singer and he checks out the ticket and tells the guy with the tickets to hook me up! Sweet!, Floor Row 24, oh my god!!!! This show is going to be nuts. People were offering me $ for my ticket, but I would never do it, not after such great karma!!!

So I get into the show, find my friends and tell them the story, they can't believe it, I'm like what (it hadn't hit me yet), and the show starts, "Birds of a Feather", sweet. I hang out for awhile with my buds in 209, then decide to head to the floor during Horn, and then as soon as I get there Page is going into "Bathtub Gin" my first Gin and I'm 20 rows from the stage awesome.

IT HAS FINALLY SUNK IN, I'M SO LUCKY, so I decide to be generous with my ticket and head back after GIN and give them both some time on the floor. Then the 2nd set, I had decided to be there for the Set 2 opener so I went down early, met some cool people on the floor, and got to about the 13-14th row, then Tweezer (OH MY GOD TWEEZER) and there was a huge glow stick war, this is crazy from the floor view, it was at this point I realized I was sticking set 2 on the floor, Soul Shakedown Pary, Bowie, and Hood (glow stick war reprise), awesome jam!! What a set, I can't believe I'm here. Headed back to 206 for the encore, nice Mexican Cous in, another first, Tweezer Reprise, sweet.

Oh my, what a night! Big thanks to Gas Food and Lodging as well as Images bar, and my friend Steve for making me go to the raffle. I can't believe it! Good Karma to all who made it this far, but I had to tell my story :)
