Not wanting to give up yet, I waited impatiently for the On-sale day. I was poised over my keyboard, phone in hand by 9:55. By ten o'clock I was dialing furiously since the Internet was already locked up. By some random stroke of luck, I was able to score tix to the 1st night at Hampton!!!! I was on top of the world. The first thing I did when I got in the car was to put in Junta, and turn David Bowie all the way up.

Flash forward a week. I am riding in my car, listening to Junta again and YEM came on. I started to think about the mere possibility that they would play it at my show, and the excitement that comes from simply wondering. All of a sudden I was overwhelmed with a feeling of sheer joy that the terrible dream was over. The Boys are back!!!!

I started to think of all the discussions over the two years of hiatus that had taken place, (When would they come back, WOULD they come back, where would the comeback be, what would the first song be? etc...) and my eyes filled with tears. It was finally real. I was going to see Phish at Hampton, to share in the groove with 20,000 other people that feel the exact same way I do.

People who don't listen to Phish always ask those of us who do what it is about these 4 guys that is so special. The only answer I can think of is...Magic.
