Well, my mom and dad live in Florida but summer north of Syracuse on the St. Lawrence River. My mom calls and says, "they just announced the Phish reunion for New Years Eve." She always keeps up with anyone from the hometown and lets me know what's going on. She heard it somehow before most, so I proceeded to let all I knew would be interested too.

Too bad she couldn't get me any tickets; I'm still trying. Mom is 73 and thinks I'm nuts, but she will be so excited if I do find tickets. Here's hoping for a miracle.

Update:

My mom called and asked what I wanted for the big 50th birthday, and I said the only thing I wanted was MSG Phish tickets.  She and dad (73 and 77) then said that if I could find 'em for face, they would buy 'em.

I was shocked, but then again dad's the one who thought he could get me sold out stones tickets the nite of the concert, way way back in the late 60's. I'm still trying, hehehe. They are the best parents, wish they owned ticketmaster !!!
