Rumors were rampant on the message boards for the past week, from Jambands.com, to FurthurNET chat, and at all points in-between a buzz was flaring up. At about 1:30pm the details started leaking out. A cryptic link posted on a board got the collective juices flowing, a simple 1 page layout similar to the Phish.com format of old was displaying a detailed outline for ticket ordering for a NYE show in MSG!?! "This can't be true," you think to your self, making sure to protect your fragile little heart from false hope, remember the Bonnaroo reunion?

Then as thousands sat in their cubicals holding their breath nationwide, a post @ 2:00 on the message board told the tale; GO TO PHISH.COM. I couldn’t type the address fast enough... as the flash page loads I start to get butterflies, the page finally loads after no doubt being inundated for requests.

As I start to read, a feeling of peace washes over, it’s as if a war has just ended! We rejoice, posts are made on every internet board that can be found, phone calls are made telling those who haven’t been near a computer, e-mails are sent to everyone asking for early christmas presents.

Then as a few seconds pass, the creative wheels start turning, a new sense of helplessness is introduced; tickets, hotels, transportation, phriends, cash, DAT’s, we have a ot of work to do! It’s all over for now, but the mission of dealing with the childlike Christmas eve anticipation has just begun. Thank God, we made it this far!
